Admissions
Undergraduate Admissions:
To enter an undergraduate program, applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, be at least 23 years of age and be employed. If they are not employed, students must have access to an organizational environment that allows application of the concepts learned in class.
As part of the admission decision, prior coursework, elective classes, major studies, and credits awarded through the Assessment of Prior Learning, College Level Examination Program (CLEP), BerlitzĀ® Examinations, Excelsior College Examinations, and Defense Activities for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES), will be considered for academic credit. If applicants have had professional training or have served in the military, they may be able to convert previous experience into academic credits.
Undergraduate students can choose to enroll directly in an undergraduate program, following a curriculum that depends on the number of previously earned credits being transferred.
Specific degree programs may have additional admissions requirements.
Graduate Admissions:
To be considered for a graduate program, applicants must be employed or have access to an organizational environment that allows application of the concepts learned in class. In addition, applicants must have an undergraduate degree from a regionally accredited college or university, or one that is a candidate for accreditation. A comparable degree from a recognized institution outside of the United States is also acceptable. University of Phoenix requires applicants to have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 and at least three years of significant work experience.
Specific degree programs may have additional admissions requirements.
