Home to the second largest banking area in the country, Charlotte, North Carolina is the economic hub of the Carolinas. Charlotte is also an educational hub, offering opportunities for students to study and gain experience in a wide variety of disciplines.
About Charlotte
Charlotte, North Carolina covers almost 250 square miles, is the largest city in the state, and is home to more than half a million people. With dozens of college campuses in the area, Charlotte is also home to many students.
What to do in Charlotte?
Charlotte is known for its warm summers and mild winters. If you enjoy the outdoors, Charlotte is only two hours away from the Great Smoky or Blue Ridge Mountains. Beaches are close at hand as well in North Carolina. Charlotte is also home to several professional sports teams, and is just 15 minutes away from the Lowe's Motor Speedway, host of the annual NASCAR NEXTEL Cup. You can also visit the Mint Art Museum, America's oldest museum, which was built in 1826 as the first branch of the U.S. Mint.
Living in Charlotte
Charlotte is home to many delightful neighborhoods that have made great efforts to preserve their historic Southern feel. Charlotte also exudes its Southern roots through its culinary delights. Even if you're far away from home, you'll feel right at home in Charlotte.
